Recent Research Projects

"Sex Yum Ouch! ( Sexually Transmitted Infections ) Translation Project." Health Icons: Sexually Transmitted Infections. Funded by the Australian Commonwealth Department of Health and Aged Care Office for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health. As part of the National Indigenous Australians Sexual Health Strategy.

"Beyond the Eclipse"; visual, cross-cultural communication, utilizing emerging technologies.
A multi-state project funded by Learnscope, Australian National Training Authority (ANTA).

"Un-locking the Diabetes Story". Funded by the National Medical Health Research Council (NMHRC).

"Boundaries bring together" cross-cultural communication, utilizing emerging technologies. Funded by Learnscope, Australian National Training Authority.

"Oral Stories". A visual telling of oral health and hygiene, in collaboration with the Northern Territory Department of Health and Community Services and the Oral Health research department of Flinders University, South Australia. Funded by the National Medical Health Research Council.

"From the Known to the Unknown". Piloting English literacy paths developed out visual material, present in the first instance in the local indigenous language. 2001 Adult Literacy Innovative Projects, Commonwealth Department of Education, Science and Training.

"Strong Language; Strong Learning", translating sexual health material into Indigenous languages. From this material English literacy paths are being developed, produced and distributed for use. Funded by the Commonwealth Department of Family and Community Services.
